Estelle Buzzard, Director
Estelle is a publicist, producer and the founding director of Buzz Corporate Communications (est. 2006) and Buzz Productions (est. 2012). She has a broad range of experience in corporate communications derived from 16 years experience in the field.
Estelle began her career in the Pilbara as a journalist with West Australian Newspapers, before relocating to Melbourne to join THQ Inc – a leading US video games company. During her four-year tenure as the PR and Promotions Manager for the Asia Pacific region, Estelle was responsible for all media, government, consumer, internal and stakeholder relations. She also managed the Company’s high-profile events and sponsorships, promoting a diverse portfolio of licensed products including Disney/Pixar, World Wrestling Entertainment, Britney Brands Inc and Nickelodeon.
Since arriving in Perth, Estelle has worked for numerous companies across a variety of industries. While employed as a consultant with Porter Novelli she provided investor, community and media relations support to mining, export, biotechnology and telecommunications companies to name a few. As Communications Manager of The University Club of Western Australia, Estelle managed all internal communications and external publications, whilst overseeing all Club events, promotions, advertising and sponsorship.
Estelle has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Professional Certificate in Executive Screen Production. She was a founding member Australian Institute of Management WA’s Emerging Leaders Committee and was on the Board of Directors for Playgroup WA 2009-2013
Claire Stannard, Associate Director
Claire has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Relations and English from Edith Cowan University, and 17 years public relations experience.
She has worked for both public and private companies in the areas of media and community liaison, events management, issues management, investor relations and corporate marketing and promotions. Her background includes working as an in-house public relations professional for both Alcoa of Australia and Austal Limited, in addition to consulting for a diverse range of clients in the resources, manufacturing, property, government, health and biotechnology sectors.
Past and present corporate clients include Alcoa of Australia, Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton Iron Ore, Public Transport Authority of Western Australia, Austal Ships, Aspen Property Group, Westate Property Group, The Griffin Group, Telstra, Clinical Cell Culture, Otto Energy, Interiors Australia, Heart Foundation, Newman College, Multiplex, and Western Australian Football Commission.
